Special Tracks

Special Track 1 -  Performance measurement and Continuous Improvement in the Public Sector
This track will be coordinated and lead by Professor Jiju Antony, Professor of Quality Management, Heriot Watt University

The objective of the special track is to build a network of academics and practitioners who are willing to share the experiences and results of their public sector based Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives. Particularly we want to develop a detailed understanding of the success factors /failure factors for CI initiatives in a Public Sector context as well as showcasing related research outputs of leading academics and research scholars.

For the special track, we invite paper submissions (theoretical, empirical, case studies, literature review) on relevant topics, including, but not limited to:

Special Track 2 – Theories of performance measurement and management
This track will be coordinated and lead by Professor Umit Bititci, Professor Business Performance, Heriot Watt University

The objective of the special track is to compile a number of contributions that conceptualise the theoretical basis of performance measurement and management from different perspectives, such as strategy, operations, marketing, human resources, accounting, organisational behaviour and so on.  Selected papers from this track will be invited to contribute to the special issue of the International Journal of Management Reviews (IJMR) – See Special Issues for further information.
